Most modern vehicles have cameras and sensors mounted directly to the windshield. When the glass is replaced, these systems lose their calibration — and a miscalibrated safety system is worse than no system at all.
We handle ADAS recalibration correctly in partnership with Voelz Body Shop — every time, no exceptions.

Common Questions
IS WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENT COVERED?
Most comprehensive policies cover windshield replacement fully or with a low deductible. Chip repair is often covered at 100% with no deductible at all.
WILL IT RAISE MY RATES?
In most cases, filing a comprehensive glass claim does not affect your premium. It is not considered an at-fault claim.
DO I NEED A CLAIM NUMBER FIRST?
Not necessarily — contact us first and we can help you determine whether to file and walk you through starting the claim process.
DOES MY INSURANCE PAY THE FULL AMOUNT?
We do our best to keep the process simple, but some insurance companies or even a TPA (Third-Party Administrator — a company your insurance may hire to manage claims) don't pay the full amount. When that happens, any remaining balance is the customer's responsibility — we'll always be upfront about what your insurance is covering before work begins.

ADAS Recalibration
Modern vehicles are packed with cameras, radar units, and ultrasonic sensors that work together to keep you safe. Many of them are mounted directly to — or calibrated through — the windshield. When the glass is replaced, these systems need to be recalibrated to function correctly.
Systems That May Require Recalibration
Why It Matters
A camera that's off by even a fraction of a degree can fail to detect a pedestrian, misread a lane line, or brake too late. These aren't minor inconveniences — they're safety failures.
Many shops skip recalibration or don't mention it at all. We don't. If your vehicle requires it, we tell you upfront and handle it correctly through our partnership with Voelz Body Shop.
Covered under our warranty up to $500 when required by installation.
Not sure if your vehicle has ADAS? Most vehicles made after 2018 have at least one camera or radar system. When you request a quote, just include your VIN — we'll check before work begins and let you know exactly what's needed.
Insurance Claims
Common questions about TPAs, preferred networks, and your right to choose your own shop.
What is a TPA?
TPA stands for Third-Party Administrator. Some insurance companies hire TPAs to help manage auto glass claims. When you call your insurance company, you may be transferred to a TPA that helps process the claim and schedule the work.
Do I have to use the shop recommended by the TPA?
No. In most cases, you have the right to choose the auto glass shop you want to perform the work. While a TPA may provide recommendations, the final decision is yours.
Will my insurance still cover it if I choose Ping Precision?
Usually, yes. We work with many insurance claims and can help guide you through the process. Coverage depends on your specific policy, deductible, and insurer.
Why does the TPA keep recommending another company?
Many TPAs have preferred networks of glass shops they work with regularly. That does not mean those shops are your only option. If your policy allows you to choose your repair facility, you can request Ping Precision Auto Glass handle your claim.
Indiana law gives you the right to choose your shop. You are never required to use an insurance-preferred or TPA-recommended vendor — that choice belongs entirely to you.
